Apps like Instagram have taught us to notice the beauty in our everyday lives. We’re taking pictures of these little moments - the perfect cappuccino, the way our shoes contrast a patterned floor - and our kids! So many pictures of our kids. These little moments, though often insignificant, have value. I chose Still Novel as one of “Michelle’s Favorite Things” because I love how beautifully they combine photography, design and personal story—similar to the way I present properties to the market. 

Still Novel has built a platform that will make it easy for you to off-load the responsibility of “doing something” with your thousands of images. Co-founders Tiffany Peña and Edyn Elliott-Barber understand the importance of intentional design. Things like the typography, sizing, justification of the letters and paragraphs - all the little details that are so important in great design.

THE STORY

Co-founders Edyn and Tiffany met at storytime at the local library and founded Still Novel in 2014 after a series of coffee dates and chats at the park. They both had young boys and it didn’t take long before they recognized their shared love for the creative arts. They began to dream up how they could collaborate. At the time they were really determined to re-invent the photo book. They imagined a beautiful coffee table book that read like a quarterly magazine, but that the story and photos inside were their own. They dreamed of a product that was transportive - A pretty portal to the past. There was no turning back. Edyn and Tiffany left their careers in Art & Design / Television Production to pursue Still Novel full time. It's become a magical partnership.

In April 2019, they launched Still Novel with the Signature Art Print. It’s a wonderful example of how content and design can turn everyday photography into art with thoughtfully designed, highly customized printed photo products. Their Signature Birth Stat Print, a 16x20 custom-framed piece, tells the story of your child and the day they were born, combining photo and graphic design in a way that’s unexpectedly personal. With multiple framing options, each piece is made with premium materials and arrives ready-to-display.
